Heroes play a very important part in the browser game Kingory. They how well you do in combat, how much resources you produce, how long time you have to spend on various researches, troop training time as well as other things. Having good heroes for the various tasks in your empire is really important. In this guide to heroes I’ll explain the various hero attributes, how to recruit heroes and how to use them. First to the list of hero attributes or stats as some call them.

Name.
Normal heroes can change names while high heroes can’t.

Level.
Every level increases 1 Maneuver point and 1 Attribute.

Experience.
Experience will be accumulated until you reach level 100.

Physical.
Marching consumes physical which recovers slowly. Medicine accelerates physical recovery.

Mental.
Applying a stratagem consumes mental which recovers slowly. Medicine accelerates mental recovery.

Maneuver.
Maneuver determines the amplifying effect. 1 point of Maneuver affects 100 troops and 1000 soldiers.

Speed.
Amplifies speed of troops by 1% for every 1 SPD point. Ride can increase SPD too.

Offense.
Amplifies siege by 1% for every 10 OFE point. Weapons can increase OFE.

Defense.
Amplifies guard by 1% for every 10 DEF point. Equipment can increase DEF.

Salary.
Refers to the hourly gold consumption of a hero. Heroes with higher traits require more gold.

Fidelity.
Castellan’s Fidelity reduces the possibility of mutiny or riot. Heroes with high fidelity are less likely to be captured. With fidelity below 50, Heroes are likely to flee. Defeats decrease fidelity while reward of gold and jewelry can enhance Fidelity.

Attribute.
1 level rise leads to 1 point rise in Attribute, and it’s used to increase hero’s politics, bravery and intelligence. Attribute can be reset through Reassign Attribute.

Politics.
1 politics point of Castellan accelerates resources production, building speed and fortification building speed by 1%.

Bravery.
1 bravery point of Castellan enhances troop training speed by 1% and offense by 10, and 3 bravery points regain hero’s physical by 1.

Intelligence.
1 intelligence point of Castellan enhances researching speed by 1% and defense by 10. 3 intelligence points can regain hero’s mental by 1.

There are several ways to recruit heroes. The normal way is to go to your tavern and recruit heroes with gold. When your hero lounge is full you can not recruit anymore heros. You can capture a defeated hero and have him serve you, but you must reach a certain nobility rank do so. You must also pitch him or her to defect by paying gold. On very rare occasions heros with fidelity of 80 may defect to you in vacancy of hero lounge. You don’t have to pay gold for these.

You can loose your heroes when you loose a battle, the higher the fidelity score of a hero is the less likely it is that it will leave you when you loose a battle. If you have a mutiny it’s likely that a hero with fidelity lower than 50 will flee. You can also choose to dismiss heroes yourself that you don’t want anymore. I suggest people try to get the best possible heroes for their empire, heroes are really important after all.

There are basically three standard ways to place your villages or cities in Kingory, spread out, clustered or a hybrid method. Having your cities clustered makes it easy to transport goods and troops between them, and overall makes them quite easy to manage. However, it also makes it easier for potential enemies to scout you out and figure out your total strength. It also limits the number of wilderness you can conquer as well as the number of NPC and player cities you can plunder.

Spreading out your cities makes it easier for you to farm a large area of NPC and player cities, and also makes it easier to find enough wilderness to conquer for each of your cities. If you get into a fight with someone it’s also less likely he’ll manage to find all your cities. Transporting stuff between a really spread out empire kinda sucks though, both troops and resources take ages from one city to another.

I personally prefer the hybrid method with one or two cities being far away from the others. These two cities will be used to launch most of your attacks from, plundering and conquering players and NPC cities. You can easily move them around using relocation or advanced relocation. You’ll try to avoid trouble in the area where your main cities are, and pretty much only attack from the floating cities.

Researching new technologies or skills in your colleges is a very important part of the browser game Kingory. There are lots of useful technologies you can research in the game, each giving you different bonuses or other advantages. You can only build one college in each city. However, what you research at a collage in one city will also be available in all the other cities. That means you only have to research each technology once, not one time for each city you build, good thing cause high level technologies take a very long time to research.

It is important to know that some technologies can only be researched if you have a certain level of building or resource field in your city. Say if you want to research level 10 cultivation, you need a level 10 farm in that city to be able to do so. Only one of your farms needs to be level 10, not all of them.

Researching high level skills is very expensive, so it will take you a while to get all your technologies to level 10. Most of the gold you produce in your empire will probably go to researching new skills. In the beginning you should focus on your resource producing technologies, Cultivation, Lumbering, Mining, and Hammering that is. You need your resource production early on. I’ll write more on this topic later. Below is a list of all the technologies you can research in Kingory.

Cultivation.

Lumbering.

Mining.

Hammering.

Arming.

Leadership.

Indoctrination.

Reconnaissance.

Investment.

Security.

Gastronomy.

Navigation.

Equitation.

Projectile.

Stacking.

Alleviation.

Architecture.

Afforcement.

Reparation.

Pillery.

When scouting out NPCs in Kingory you often won’t get exact numbers, and the information you get might be confusing for new players. If you want to get exact information you need to have a high enough reconnaissance level.

This is a quick beginners guide to the flash based strategy game Kingory. It’s pretty easy to get started really, you just sign up with your email address and a password and then you’re in. You will automatically be assigned to the newest server, which is probably a good thing, since everyone will start at close to the same level here. There is about one new server added every week.

When you’ve made your account you’re taken to a screen where you have to make a few more choices before the game start. First you have to chose your gender, that doesn’t really matter in the game though, it only decides what kind of avatars you can chose from, there are a lot of them. You also get the option of choosing which part of the map your first city will be in. If you have a friend playing the game, or a specific alliance you’re joining, you should choose the same part of the map as them. If not, just choose whatever you want.

Signing in for the first time there will be a few system messages in your inbox, nothing that important really. Getting startet from here is pretty easy, just follow the quests and build your buildings according to that. The first message you get suggests that you should start with the growth quests, and I agree with that. These are quests that will get your city up and running quickly. The quest button is on the top right on your screen, just beside the treasure chest.

Starting with the quests you will learn the game pretty quickly, but another good reason to do the quests is all the rewards you will get. If you build a building the quest asks you to build you will often get more resources in reward than what the building cost to build. This is why following the quests in the beginning is way the fastest route to growth. Some people also like spending Lu Ban items to auto-complete buildings to construct their city even faster. Feel free to leave comments or questions if you have any.

I hope Kingory will be just as popular internationally as RSXG is in China.

Anyways, Kingory is definitely a very cool game. I’ve played lots of browser games before, starting with Utopia, then Travian, TribalWars, Evony, NapWar and Ikariam. Kingory is in my opinion better than all of these games, and I’m really having a lot of fun playing it. I hope you will enjoy the website and the articles and guides here.
